February 27, 2020
This is an announcement for postponing the International Astronomical Union (IAU) Symposium 360 Astropol2020 that was scheduled to be held from the 23rd until the 27th of March 2020 at Hiroshima, Japan.
The coronavirus outbreak keeps escalating all over the world including East Asia and Japan.
Considering the rapid growth in affected areas as well as in the number of infected individuals, and considering the seriousness of this virus, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the symposium for the sake of everyone’s safety.
IAU has agreed and approved our decision.
We will let you know when the symposium is to be held as soon as we become confident that the coronavirus is contained.
Thank you very much for your patience and understanding.
